The walk to the tombs was short. The two men, Zachariah and his warrior friend Ari, and the two women, Avigail and the Egyptian newcomer, stood in front of a carved doorway cut into soft rock on the outskirts of the city. The word HANAN in old Hebrew characters was engraved into the stone over the doorway, in front of which stone slab, apparently moved aside large enough for a man to pass through.
